Adults 18 and up, the University of Delaware Cooperative Extension, in conjunction with the University of Maryland Extension and with a grant from the McCormick Science Institute, is happy to offer the “Capture the Flavor: Herbs and Spices” lecture at the Laurel Public Library on Thursday, Nov. 20 at 11:30 a.m.
Free samples and a reusable bag, along with the class booklet will be provided to those who register and attend the class. Join the library for this fun and free event, funded by the McCormick Science Institute. You will learn how to use herbs and spices to create your own international flavors, apply best practices for herbs and spices storage, explain how herbs and spices can be a food safety concern if handled improperly, and recognize health benefits of cooking with herbs and spices. Registration is required.
