William Henry Fox of Laurel went home to his heavenly reward on April 8, 2020. Born on April 14, 1943 in Pompton Plains, NJ, to Kenneth Fox and Marion Kirk Fox. Bill served in the U,S. Navy aboard the submarine USS Jallao. He was a trooper in the NJ State Police, worked in the Arson and Bomb Unit and retired in 1995 with the rank of Lieutenant.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Lee Fox, daughter LeeAnne Jones and husband Peter, and their daughter Chloe of Haddon Township, NJ, daughter Billie Fox, her children Dillion and Morgan Fletcher of Delmar, MD, son Rhett Fox, his wife Susan and their children, Ashlee and Jacob Fox of Parker, CO. Brother Thomas Fox of Easton, PA.

Bill was an avid Horseshoe pitcher and competed in tournaments, in NJ, TN, MD, DE and FL. He won nine class championships. He competed and place fourth in class B for the World Tournament held in Florence, SC in 2018.

Bill and wife Lee raised their family in Washington, NJ. They retired to Wears Valley, TN and spent 15 years enjoying the beautiful Smoky Mountains. The then relocated to Laurel, DE to be near family.

Bill was a throat cancer survivor in 2015, lung cancer survivor in 2017, but succumbed to end state Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease.

He was an active member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church, Laurel, DE where he was President of the Trustees.

Due to the current Coronavirus Pandemic there will be not be a funeral or memorial service.
