Reclaim our River Nanticoke (ROR Nanticoke) is gearing up for a year full of activities in and around the Nanticoke River Watershed.

The first program, Saving the Monarch Butterfly, will be held at the Laurel Public Library on Monday, March 2, starting at 6 p.m. Featured will be displays from the Delaware Nature Society and Nanticoke Watershed Alliance. Participants will be given free milkweed seeds, while supplies last.

Mike McFarlin will present raising, releasing and nurturing the endangered monarch butterfly.  Participants will also learn about a program with the Delaware Department of Transportation, which includes adopting roadside milkweed plots. Call Nan Zamorski at 302-536-1722, for more information.
