Leona Rae Taylor Langley of Seaford, passed away at home surrounded by her loved ones, on Friday, March 6, 2020.  

She was the daughter of the late George Handy Taylor and Hattie Elizabeth Bailey Taylor.

Ms. Langley made her career as a homemaker and a mother which she excelled at. She was a true Sussex County girl who enjoyed fishing, clamming and crabbing in her spare time. She also loved watching Jimmy Swaggart and Homicide Hunter with Joe Kenda. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Langley was preceded in death by three sisters, seven brothers, and one grandchild. 

She is survived by her children, Peggy Brown (Ron), Pat T. Langley, Robert Langley (Debbie), and Starr Conaway (Bob); her bonus son, Stan Towers (Dawn); her 11 grandchildren; her 31 great-grandchildren; her four great-great-grandchildren; her sister, Iva Mae Everton; and her many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held on Tuesday, March 10, at Watson-Yates Funeral Home & Crematorium, Seaford. Interment was held privately.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Ms. Langley’s name to VITAS Hospice, 30265 Commerce Dr., Ste. 202, Millsboro, DE 19966.
