Helena Foskey of Laurel passed away on April 1, 2020 in Millsboro, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Starodubski, Poland, she is the daughter of the late Joseph Schtscherbak and Irina Kalina Schtscherbak. 

Helena was retired as a food service employee with the Macke Cafeteria at E.I. Dupont in Seaford. She was a the oldest living member of the Laurel Nazarene Church where she was a lifetime member. Making floral arrangements, gardening, and planting flowers were her greatest pass times, but Helena’s family was her legacy. She dearly loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

She is survived by her son, Edward Foskey and his wife Frances; grandchildren, Nataline Myers (Michael), Christopher Edward Foskey (Whitney), Peter Robert Foskey (Alyssa), Jody Davis (Virgil), and Jamie Foskey; great grandchildren, Ethan Christopher Foskey, Juliet Elizabeth Foskey, Jessica Davis (Dennis), Virgil “Buddy” Davis (Crystal); great great grandchildren, Alyza Davis, Kayden Davis, Dalton Davis, Mason Jones, and Maddison Stevenson. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband James Thomas Foskey, Sr.; sons, James T. Foskey, Jr., and Robert Foskey, and her brother, Vassily Kalina. 

All services will be held privately. Pastor David Seymore will officiate. Interment will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Contributions may be made in Helena Foskey’s memory to the Laurel Church of the Nazarene, 100 Walnut Drive, Laurel, Delaware 19956.
