Dorothy “Dot” E. Niblett of Laurel, passed away peacefully at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, April 1, 2020.

She was born May 25, 1928 in Laurel, a daughter of the late Emory Foskey and Sally Dorman Foskey. She attended Laurel High School. On Aug/ 25, 1945 she married Clifford R. Niblett and together they raised their family and made many fond memories until his passing in February 2001. 

In addition to raising her family and being a wonderful homemaker, she worked long hours raising chickens and working in the Chipman Shoe Store. She was a life member of King’s United Methodist Church in Laurel. She loved her Dr. Peppers, yardwork, puzzles, crafts and sewing and quilting. She was a wonderful cook and her grandchildren will especially miss her homemade pinwheels. She will be remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to many.

She is survived by her children, Doug Niblett and wife Sue of Delmar, Karen Perry and husband Buddy of Laurel, Jeanne Foxwell of Delmar and Pam Lewis and husband Donald of Laurel; son-in-law, Barney Foxwell; grandchildren, Rodney Niblett and wife Susan, Eric Niblett, Wendy Elliott and husband Dean, Mark Perry and wife Rachelle, Lance Foxwell, B.J. Foxwell and wife Beth and Zachary Lewis; great grandchildren, Sydney and husband Mitch, Conner, Lukas, Mackenzie, Myah, Mason, Ashley, Amanda, Danae, Ramie, Shelby, Brendan, Nolan, Macey, Hailey, Trenton, Drake, Dalton Ray, Katelyn, Harrison and Nolan; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Clifford R. Niblett; a sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Elwood Steel; and a brother, Paul Franklin Foskey, who died while serving his country in World War II.

Due to present COVID-19 restrictions, services and burial will be private. A celebration of Dot’s life for family and friends at a later date.
