Founded in 1861 and headquartered in Wilmington, Artisans’ Bank believes in empowering small businesses throughout the state of Delaware. Artisans’ is committed to meeting the needs of the business community and offers a full complement of products and services designed to aid businesses of every size. With a customer-oriented work ethic and dedicated staff, Artisans’ is ready to come up with innovative solutions to help each individual customer grow and succeed.
“We strive to engage with our customers on a personal level, which embraces our small community bank atmosphere we take pride in,” said Dover Branch Manager Jessica Snowden. “Visit one of our branches and you will feel our welcoming greeting, as we are here to assist you with all of your banking needs in person.”
Artisans’ offers a wide range of business services and products, including checking and savings accounts, cash management services, electronic banking, many types of business loans and lines of credit, which finance a variety of short-term credit needs and can be structured to meet seasonal or cyclical demands. Artisans’ Bank believes in creating partnerships that last a lifetime, and relationship managers are always ready to talk with and get to know their clients so they can help put together the best package of services, loans, and accounts for each individual.
As a local, community bank, Artisans’ has an edge when it comes to customer service. Employees and management live in and engage with the communities they serve, and loan decisions are made locally, in the community. The community bank model allows the team at Artisans’ to be more flexible than larger banks and gives them the ability to work directly with customers and businesses, providing loan and deposit products that meet their unique needs.
“Getting to know our customers is important to us in the local lending process,” said Vice President and Area Manager Deanna Smith. “As a community bank we would never use a computer program or machine to decide whether or not a customer is eligible for a loan. Our relationship managers value the time spent with each customer and weigh each situation individually.”
While being a community bank gives Artisans’ the ability to build and maintain close business relationships, it doesn’t deter Artisans’ from keeping up as technology grows and changes. Artisans’ Bank has a comprehensive electronic banking program that allows you to handle your banking needs remotely and spend more time working on your business.
“Artisans’ Bank offers the technology of a corporate bank with the convenience of mobile banking, on-line bill pay, and other modern amenities. We are big enough to keep up, but small enough to provide “down-home” customer service,” said Bethany Branch Manager Kellee Mellott.
This spring, Artisans’ opened a new branch and business center in Rehoboth Beach. The new location on Route 24 houses a full-service retail bank with commercial, consumer and mortgage lending offices. There is a small business center, coffee bar, drive-up banking lanes and ATM, and a night depository. The new Rehoboth Branch and Business Center complements services already offered in Artisans’ other Kent and Sussex branches located in Dover, Milford, and Millville.
“The new branch is open and ready for business,” said Rehoboth Branch Manager Joanne Williams. “We invite the public to come visit our beautiful new facility. Our culture is service oriented. Artisans’ Bank maintains a staff of long term, engaged employees who embody the mission of service to our customers, communities, and each other. Artisans’ combination of convenient branch banking and online products allows us to easily meet the needs of those we serve.”
