The Unitarian Universalists of Southern Delaware, an inclusive religious community, will hold an online service on Jan. 16, 10 a.m., “I Will Not Get There with You.” According to Rev. Heather Rion Starr: We put things in motion in our lives because those ideas are seeds, starts for what we hope will grow in our lifetime and beyond. As we celebrate Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday this weekend, how are we reckoning with the fact that everything that we care about most and that we feel most passionately about, will hopefully, in one way or another, outlive us? Will what we care about most continue beyond and without us? The service will be in-person (reservations required) and live streamed.
