CHEER’s 2019 Trap Pond Fall Festival, which features a carnival theme, will take place at Trap Pond State Park, east of Laurel, on Friday, Sept. 6, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
DJ Sky Brady will provide music and antics throughout the day. Health care professionals will man tables providing informational materials and hand-outs. The highlight of the day will be the traditional fried chicken lunch accompanied by ham, potato salad, green beans, and ice cream.
Tickets for the picnic are $6 for seniors ages 60 and over, and $8 for those under 60. For tickets, contact Robin Greene at 302-515-3063 or your local CHEER Activity Center director. Admission to the park will be free.
All proceeds will support CHEER’s Cooking for Sussex Seniors Kitchen Capital Campaign to build a new $1.6 million central kitchen.
