The board of directors and membership of Old Christ Church League and St. Philips in Laurel announce the resumption of regular summer services at historic Old Christ Church in Laurel. Services are held on the first Sunday of the month- June 4, July 2, Aug. 6 and Sept. 3 at 10 a.m.
The order of worship is taken from an 18th century prayer book in use around the time the church was built in 1772. The church is not electrified and appears as it did in 1772. The church is located on Chipman Pond in a very tranquil setting. Renovations have taken place during the pandemic, most importantly, new siding has been installed and the church is in good condition.
