Sue Ellen Murphy of Seaford passed away on Monday, Nov. 9, 2020 at TidalHealth Nanticoke in Seaford. She was born on Dec. 6, 1965 in Seaford, daughter of the late Walter L. and Mary Ellen Andrew.
Mrs. Murphy was a dedicated employee of TidalHealth Nanticoke, where she worked as a medical assistant. She had many interests and hobbies, including crocheting, playing bingo, and listening to country music. In her younger years, she was a talented softball player with a wicked fastball. Above all, Mrs. Murphy cherished time spent with those she held most dear, especially her family and grandchildren. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Murphy was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Chasity Ann Taylor; her aunt, Kathryn Moore; and her uncle, Dicky Moore. She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Fred Lee Murphy of Seaford; her son, Daniel Murphy of Seaford; her daughters: Kelly Taylor of Seaford and Nicole Layton of Federalsburg; her grandchildren: Anthony Fox, Titan Layton, and Kelsie Layton, all of Federalsburg and Jayden Taylor and Vincent Murphy, both of Seaford; her brothers: Joe Andrew of Blades, Doug Andrew (Holly) of Seaford, Mike Andrew (Shannon) of Berlin, Phil Andrew (Sheena) of Bridgeville, and Frank Andrew of Poland; and her sisters: Cyn Carroll (Steve) of Lewes and Sandi Andrew of Laurel.
Services will be private. Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson-Yates Funeral Home & Crematorium, a Parsell Family Funeral Home in Seaford.
