Sally Irene “Renie” King of Seaford passed away in her sleep on Thursday, Dec. 24, 2020. She was born on Dec. 14, 1933 in Milford, daughter of the late Frank and Gertrude Short.

Mrs. King retired from the Acme Market and later owned and operated the Lone Elm Gift Shop located in Seaford for many years. She was also known for her home restoration work.

In her spare time, Mrs. King enjoyed making flower arrangements and collecting antiques. She also loved canning and was known for her famous relish.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. King was preceded in death by her husband, Bob King; her brothers, Robert Short, Horace Short, and Fred Short; and her sisters, Madeline Williams and Jenny Clayton. She is survived by her children: Brenda Pepper and her husband Horace, Ray Johnson and his wife Linda, Terri Passwaters and her companion Marty Ockels, and Sharon Conaway and her husband Dean; two stepchildren: Teresa Willey and her husband Doug, Phillip King and his wife Ann; her grandchildren: Bobby Cannon and his wife Maria, Mandy Donaway and her husband Jamie, Wendy Dutton and her husband Donnie, Eric Johnson and his wife Gloria, Aaron Johnson and his wife Kelly, Ashley Giancoplis and her husband Jon, Khristina McDowell and her husband Bo, John Passwaters and his wife Angela, and Alex Bennington; three step-grandchildren: Jacob and Justin Schrock and Emily King; and 32 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson-Yates Funeral Home & Crematorium, a member of the Parsell Funeral Family in Seaford.
