Mount Olivet United Methodist Church, located at 315 High Street in downtown Seaford, will be holding events on Good Friday and on Easter. A reading of the Passion Scripture from Mark will be available on Facebook and YouTube on Friday, April 2 starting at 9 a.m.

Also on Friday, the church will join the Seaford United Crosswalk which starts at Seaford City Hall at 11 a.m. The walk will include the stations of the cross and will finish back at Seaford City Hall. Mt. Olivet’s sanctuary will be open from noon until 3 p.m. for personal prayer.

On April 4th, the Easter Sunrise Service will be held at 7 a.m. in the Prayer Garden, which is located behind the church. Please bring your own chairs. The church will require face coverings and will maintain safe distancing. The prayer garden will be decorated with salt dough ornaments. 

The Adult Sunday School classes will meet at 9 a.m. The children will have an Easter Egg Hunt at 10 a.m. in the Prayer Garden. Outdoor events will be moved indoors in case of rain. Be sure to bring your Easter basket and your mask.  

Join the church for in-person worship at 10 a.m. It will be held in the sanctuary, which will be decorated with lilies, hyacinths, and tulips. Masks and safe spacing are observed. The service will also be live-streamed.
