Laurel Historical Society update

Join us every Wednesday at Hitchens Homestead, 205 Willow St., Laurel, from 9 a.m. to noon — “Work Wednesdays.” LHS has made great progress at the Hitchens Homestead, with a general cleanup completed and exterior maintenance performed. There is still much to do and we could use your help. Jobs big and small, there is something for everyone. Come for Wednesday morning or just for an hour or two.

Two other LHS properties, Cook House and the Laurel Heritage Museum (Train Station), are open to the public on the first Sunday of each month from 1 to 4 p.m. Admission to both museums is free although donations are appreciated.
