Howard C. Adkins of Seaford, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Feb. 13, 2020, at his home surrounded by family. 

He was born on Oct. 21, 1937 in Delmar, Del., son of the late Howard and Lidia Adkins. 

Mr. Adkins was a graduate of Delmar High School. He built a career as a mechanic with the DuPont Company, retiring after 40 dedicated years. 

Mr. Adkins was a respected member of his community, volunteering as a firefighter with the Delmar Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed the great outdoors, especially fishing at Leisure Point in Long Neck. More than anything, however, Mr. Adkins treasured time spent with those he held most dear. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend who will be genuinely missed by all who had the opportunity to know him. 

Mr. Adkins is survived by his beloved wife, Delma Adkins; his sons, Raymond Adkins, Ricky Adkins and Randy Adkins; his grandchildren, Ricky Adkins Jr., Randy Adkins II, Autumn Poplaski, Jenna Ewing, Brittney Adkins and Dominique Mangino; and his great-grandchildren, Alayna, Aria, Kobe, Ava and Jules. 

Services were private. Arrangements were handled by Watson-Yates Funeral Home, a member of the Parsell Funeral Family, Seaford.
