Grason “Beau” Morris won his battle with congenital heart disease Monday, March 22, 2021 at New York Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital. He was surrounded by his Mommy, Daddy and the love of the dedicated medical staff as he earned his angel wings.

Beau, as he was affectionately known, was a beautiful light. His contagious personality touched the lives of many, near and far. Beau’s old soul charm, wit and zest for life, left those who met him, forever wanting more.

He loved building Lego sets, putting puzzles together, playing with his sisters, riding his Gator, and being a social butterfly. Although Beau lived large portions of his life in the hospital, he never let that break his spirit. He always had a smile on his face, even on his darkest day.

Beau is fondly remembered by his parents, Ricky and Laurie Morris; his twin sister Grace and baby sister Mya; fraternal grandmother Joyce Morris; fraternal great-grandmother Dorothy Collins; maternal grandfather James Joseph (Becky); aunt Stacey Bragg, aunt Valerie Oliphant (Mark), aunt Marcie Smith (C.S.); great aunt “Nana” Rachel Rust (Dale), great aunt Barbara Collins (Bryant); cousins Olivia and R.J. Bragg, Gabrielle and Chloe Oliphant, Justin and Megan Smith.

He was met at the gates of Heaven by his Pop Pop Richard Morris and Mom Mom Carolyn Joseph.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks to please make donations to Mended Little Hearts of Delaware or the Good Ole Boys Foundation.

A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 27 at 11 a.m. at the Central Worship Center gymnasium in Laurel. Pastor Tim Dukes officiated. Interment followed in Bethel Cemetery near Gumboro. Arrangements are in the care of the Hannigan, Short, Disharoon Funeral Home in Laurel: www.hsdfuneralhome.com.
