- David Kee, 71, of Laurel, passed away on Monday, Oct. 14, 2019, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Salisbury, Md., he was the son of the late Lewis Vernon Kee and Ruth Thelma Kee.
David graduated from Laurel High School in the Class of 1968, was a lifetime member of the Laurel Fire Department for 43 years, a member of St. Philips Episcopal Church in Laurel, and, in his earlier years, he enjoyed coaching Little League. He was retired from the Plymouth Tube Company in Salisbury with over 20 years of service.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Janice Culver Kee of Laurel; son, Shawn Kee and his wife Laura; daughter, Abby Wilkerson and her husband Levi; grandchildren, Landon Kee, Kaedyn Bradford, Christopher Kee, Mason Kee, Savannah Wilkerson, Hallie Wilkerson, William Wilkerson, and Lillian Wilkerson; siblings, Joyce Dyer and Arthur Kee; sister-in-law, Susan Eudy; brother-in-law, Dean Culver and his wife Laurie; his dog, Chase, and his cat, Anita; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his pets, Buddy, Trouble, and Boots.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26, at St. Philips Episcopal Church, 600 S. Central Ave., Laurel, where visitation will be held from 10 to 11. Interment will be held privately.
