Edwin L. Twilley of Laurel, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 31, 2019 at his home in Laurel, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on Jan. 25, 1980 in Seaford, Delaware, a son of Bonnie S. Twilley of Laurel and the late Monty Twilley.
Edwin attended Laurel High school. He held various jobs in his younger years, including working as a manager for the Wendy’s in Seaford. He left Wendy’s to pursue a career in construction and was known for being able to do anything from roofing to drywall and flooring. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and NASCAR fan and rooted for Dale, Jr. every weekend. His sense of humor and loving, outgoing personality will be remembered and missed by those who knew him. He was happiest when with his children and family and he was always there for them whenever there was a need.
He is survived by his wife, Dana Marie Twilley of Laurel; his mother, Bonnie Twilley of Laurel; children, Michael Twilley, Katie Twilley, Ryan Twilley, John Powell, Emily Powell and Katie Powell, all of Laurel; grandchildren, Bailee and Rilee Twilley; brothers, Jeffrey Twilley of Laurel and Monty Twilley, II of Willards; a sister, Dawn Hadder of Delmar; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2019 at 2 p.m. at Short Funeral Home in Delmar. A visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service in St. Stephens Cemetery in Delmar.
