On Friday, Dec. 6, the Laurel Historical Society will join the town of Laurel, as well as townspeople and local artisans, in staging a Christmas Illumination.
The festivities begin at 5:30 p.m. with Christmas markets on Broad Creek (Janosik Park) sponsored by the Town of Laurel including pop-up shops, pub, bakery, food truck, face painting and more. At 7 p.m., the Christmas Parade begins at Evergreen Avenue and continues through town.
After the parade, continue from the Christmas markets on Broad Creek, down Front Street, and on to the Hitchens Homestead, 205 Willow St., for the Grand Illumination. At Hitchens, the Grand Illumination will include a bonfire and music, refreshments for purchase, and the illumination of the Hitchens Homestead.
