Summer Reading Programs

  1. Children – The Children’s Summer Reading Program will begin Tuesday, June 11. This year’s theme is “A Universe of Stories.” Every Tuesday and Thursday at 11 a.m. children may come to the library and enjoy crafts, performers and prizes. On Tuesday, June 11, children can enjoy “Space Camp Fun”, which will include a picnic lunch and games. Thursday, June 13, is “Chalk Day.” They will be making their own chalk to take home and will also make sidewalk chalk art. Free lunch will be served for any child attending these programs 18 years and younger at noon on Tuesdays and Thursdays. These lunches are provided by the Woodbridge School District Food Service Program.
  2. Teens and Tweens – Teens and tweens can register for the Summer Reading Program and join us on Wednesdays starting June 12 with a space themed movie at noon. Free lunch will be served for any child attending this program who is 18 years and younger at 11 a.m. These lunches are provided by the Woodbridge School District Food Service Program.

    Teens and tweens can also come to the library that day for a “Make and Take” Father’s Day Card. The Teen/Tweens Kick-Off will be held on Thursday, June 13 from 5-7 p.m. with a Scavenger Hunt and IMPACT Night.

  3. Adults – Adults will have a Summer Reading Challenge with a Bingo card to fill out for chances to win prizes. Stop in the library to get your card at the circulation desk.
