Blanche “Kookie” E. (Dukes) Killen-Jones of Seaford peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 28, 2020, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on Aug. 26, 1950 in Milford, daughter of the late Ray and Lulu Dukes.

Kookie graduated with Seaford High School’s class of 1969. She was an avid traveler and loved spending time at the beach. Kookie was a social butterfly and enjoyed cooking for family and friends. She loved dancing and participating in activities at church as well. Above all, she cherished time spent with those she held most dear. Kookie was a loving and devoted wife, mother, Nana, sister, aunt, and friend. She was loved by many and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Kookie is survived by her beloved husband, William Jones; her sons, Jason Killen (Deanna) and Jamie Killen (Audrey); her daughter, Jessica Killen-Mariner; her grandchildren, Scotty, Rachel, Jason Jr., Madison, Jackson, Jacob, and Karson; and her grand-furbabies, Dutches, Duke, Tonto, and Daphne.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, Aug. 8 at noon at First Baptist Church, 20304 North Dupont Boulevard, Georgetown, where a viewing will begin at 11 a.m. Interment will follow the services at Blades Cemetery, 10th and Market Streets, Blades. Arrangements are being handled by Watson-Yates Funeral Home, a member of the Parsell Funeral Family, Seaford.
