Betty H. Wimbrow of Seaford died Thursday, Feb. 4, 2021 at home. She was born in Baltimore and lived for many years in Bel Air, Md., before relocating to Seaford in 2004. She was the daughter of the late Ernest Clayton and Wave (Anderson) Hash. 

Betty was a very active member of St. John’s United Methodist Church in Seaford and a member of the Esther Circle. She was a former member of the Lioness Club in Bel Air. 

She is survived by her husband, Thomas D. Wimbrow of Seaford and a daughter, Laura K. Wimbrow of Bridgeville.

The family extends a heartfelt note of gratitude to Sue Banos, one of her caregivers and a special friend. They also wish to recognize the invaluable help of VITAS Healthcare of Delaware and Griswold Home Care.

A funeral service was held on Friday, Feb. 12 at St. John’s United Methodist Church in Seaford with Rev. Richard Evans officiating. Burial will be in Dale Cemetery in Whaleyville, Md.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Memorial Fund of St. John’s United Methodist Church, 300 N. Pine St., Seaford, DE 19973.
