Barbara T. Glass passed away on Feb. 6 at the Methodist Manor House in Seaford.

She was born in Easton, Md. to the late Benson A. Towers and Elsie (Wharton) Towers, who predeceased her.

In her earlier years she worked at Peebles department store, Covey Foods, and the Seaford Police Department. She gave up working due to her medical condition. She was diagnosed with MS, a battle she courageously fought until the end despite her diagnosis.

She will be fondly remembered for her willingness to help others, and her singing voice.

She leaves behind her son, P. William Glass, Jr. and his wife, Toni; her daughter Cheryl K. Schmidt and her husband Lawrence (Larry); grandchildren Joshua C. Hamilton (fiancée Amanda), Benson N.V. Schmidt, and Danielle Adair (Alex), and Billy Glass; sisters Diane T. Kern of Seaford and Mary T. Corkell (Robert) of Preston; and three nieces.

A memorial service will be scheduled for a later date as she donated her body to science in hopes that someone can find a cure for MS.

In lieu of flowers, donations be made to  Anatomy Gift Registry, 7522 Connelley Dr. Suite M, Hanover, MD 21076.
