The women of Mt. Calvary A.M.E. Church in Concord will celebrate their Annual Women’s Day on Sunday, Sept. 15 at 10 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. The theme is “Women of Faith Working Together: Revive and Restore” (Philippians 1:27). The morning messenger is Reverend Shirley Caldwell, the dynamic pastor of Ross Point Freedom Church, Seaford. The afternoon messenger is Reverend Janice Herman of Friendship United Methodist Church, Millsboro. Pastor Herman shares experiences from being raised in South Carolina under the guidance of parents who did not tolerate foolishness when it came to Holy Living. She’s been blessed with the gift of weaving a colorful tapestry from a story in the bible with simple language which captivates the attention of even the youngest listener.
The Women’s Day colors are coral and white. Dinner will be served between 1:30 and 3 p.m. Join the group for a spirit filled service.
