Alvin Douglas Daniel Davis of Delmar passed away at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. Born in Salisbury, he is the son of the late Rev. Roy Lee Davis and Nora Mae Randolph Davis. Doug was retired as a foreman in the construction industry. He and his wife enjoyed attending the First Baptist Church of Laurel, where he loved singing for the Lord.

Doug was certified through Wor-Wic Community College in Masonry. He was an amazing cook and enjoyed making many delicious meals. Known as “The Rock” to his wife, Doug is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Sharon Hastings Davis of Delmar; stepdaughter, Janet Twilley Foraker and her husband Vernon Foraker, Jr.; grandchildren, Eric Foraker and Jennie Foraker; mother-in-law, Erma Hastings, sister-in-law, Tammy Whaley, brother-in-laws, Ken Hastings, Clarence Hastings and Jim Whaley; niece, Vivian Wiley whom he had close contact with during his recent health issues. Several nieces, nephews, and grandchildren survive him. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by 15 siblings.

All services will be announced in the near future. Doug was loved by many and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
